| The HSA aims to bring together students and professors with a common interest in history. We are involved in an array of activities directed at making U of T a better place to learn history. To this end, we promote a number of social and intellectual events throughout the year. In addition, we publish an annual student course evaluation. This evaluation serves two purposes: to assess instructors and courses, and to aid students in making a more informed choice of courses. Through the HSA, students are represented at meetings of the History Department as well as meetings of the Undergraduate Program Committee. The meetings of these committees, as well as informal contact with the Department, allow students a voice in policy-making within the Department. The HSA depends on the interest and participation of history students. Every student who takes at least one-half course in history is a member of the student association. Course representatives are elected at the beginning of the semester, and a new Executive is elected every Spring. The HSA is for you and your participation makes it work. If you are interested in our activities, or wish to become involved, drop by or leave a note at our office in Sidney Smith Hall, Room 2061, or call us at 416-978-0717. Please check back occasionally for updates under Upcoming Events. Also, please look forward to receiving information over the CCnet system periodically if you have registered with a history course that uses CCnet.
